AN INTENSIVE ACTING COURSE FOR AGES 15-18 – WEEK 38-47 2027
YOUNG PERFORMER INTERNATIONAL is a 10-week intensive acting course taught entirely in English at Copenhagen Acting School. Designed for young people aged 15-18, the programme offers an opportunity to develop your acting skills, explore your creative potential and gain insight into what it takes to work as an actor at a professional level.
Whether you already have acting experience or are completely new to the craft, you are welcome. What matters most is your curiosity, commitment and passion for acting.
The course combines practical training, creative exploration and hands-on scene work, introducing you to the core disciplines of an actor’s craft. You will develop practical tools for working with characters, scenes and fellow actors, while exploring different aspects of the profession.
YOUNG PERFORMER culminates in a showcase, giving you the opportunity to bring everything you have learned together in two live performances for an audience in the BlackBOX at Copenhagen Acting School.
YOUR TRAINING STARTS HERE
MEISNER TECHNIQUE
Let go of expectations, stay present and learn to really listen, connect and react instinctively to your scenepartner. Through the Meisner Technique, you’ll discover how to trust your impulses, get out of your head and create honest, spontaneous moments. One of the most influential acting techniques used by professional actors worldwide, Meisner gives you the tools to make your performances feel real, raw and alive.
IMPROVISATION & SCENE STUDY
Through improvisation, you will strengthen your creativity, imagination and ability to play freely, confidently and intuitively with others. Develop your skills in presence, character development, emotional expression, intention and relationships. You will build a practical foundation for creating believable characters and engaging relationships on stage. Learn how to analyse and interpret a scene, work with a script and transform written text into compelling stage action.
SELF TAPE & ACTING ON CAMERA
Get an introduction to acting for the camera. We explore self-tapes, auditions and fundamental film techniques, giving you an understanding of how to adapt your performance to the camera and the demands of screen acting.
PERFORMANCE & SHOWCASE
In the final part of the programme, we bring everything together and work towards a staged performance. You will have the opportunity to put your new skills into practice as part of a collaborative showcase, culminating in two live performances in the BlackBOX at Copenhagen Acting School.

YOUNG PERFORMER INTERNATIONAL is for young people who are ready to take their passion for acting seriously and explore the possibility of a future in the industry.
We approach the craft with ambition and dedication, introducing you to the working methods, discipline and commitment that are part of professional acting.
You don’t need to have made up your mind about becoming a professional actor. But if it is something you dream about, this is an opportunity to explore that ambition, challenge yourself and take your first steps towards it.
Along the way, you will become part of a creative community of young performers who share your passion, curiosity and desire to grow.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Language: All teaching is conducted in English.
Age group: 15-18 years
Programme dates: Weeks 38-47, 2027 (10 weeks + 1 additional weekend)
Schedule:
- Thursdays, 5:00-7:00 PM
- Weeks 44-47, 5:00-8:00 PM
Location: Copenhagen Acting School, Gasværksvej 4E, 1656 Copenhagen V.
Final performances: Two live performances in the BlackBOX at Copenhagen Acting School.
Tuition fee: DKK 7,700
Payment in instalments is available.
