The Actor’s Voice and Shakespeare’s Text with Keith Michael Pinault!
This intensive workshop is intended to deepen the actor’s understanding of Shakespeare’s text
in its native English while connecting it to their deepest, truest impulses. Through practical
exercises drawing from both Linklater voice work and the Meisner technique paired with deep
textual analysis, students will discover new ways to bring Shakespeare’s text to life within
themselves. Students will use the actor’s greatest tool — their imagination — to hook into the
power of Shakespeare’s imagery in order to bring the audience along for the ride.
